Rolled oats: Oats not only have an excellent effect on the skin as an ingredient in skincare products, but are also a true superfood when consumed as food. The high content of trace elements such as zinc, manganese, potassium, and valuable B vitamins ensures clear, healthy skin, strong nails, and beautiful hair. Oats are also rich in fiber, protein, and vitamins. Consuming rolled oats daily not only lets you start the day with energy, but also has a positive effect on your metabolism and can support weight loss.
Grapes: The best plant-based skincare substances can be found in grapes, which also have a positive effect on the skin, body, and cells when ingested. The polyphenols (plant compounds) resveratrol and OPC they contain are among the most effective plant-based antioxidants and are true anti-aging stars. They stimulate collagen synthesis, promote blood flow, and tighten, smooth, and protect the skin. OPC is more potent than vitamins C & E and is a true fountain of youth. They are especially healthy in combination and also strengthen the immune system. It is recommended to eat grapes with their seeds.
Dates: The high content of minerals, vitamins, and phytochemicals has a regenerative effect on the skin. The tannins and polyphenols they contain not only have an anti-inflammatory effect but also act as free-radical scavengers, thus protecting our cells from the aging process. As a very alkaline fruit, regular consumption of dates not only has a positive effect on the acid-base balance but also on our gut flora, and stimulates the metabolism. The B vitamins (especially vitamin B3/niacin), provitamin A (beta-carotene), and vitamin K they contain nourish the skin and also have a protective effect on our eyes. Beta-carotene regulates cell growth in the body, reduces oxidation processes, and controls immune system responses. Dates are a very fast source of energy for the brain and muscles, making them an excellent part of a balanced breakfast. Due to the high potassium content, it is recommended to consume 3-4 dates per day to meet an adult's potassium requirements. In our bowl, the dates also provide sufficient sweetness so that no additional sweeteners or added sugar are needed.
Chia seeds: This well-known superfood is characterized not only by its high content of fiber and protein, which is vital for cell structure, but also impresses with the highest occurrence of plant-based omega-3 fatty acids. These have a positive effect on the complexion and inhibit inflammation. The niacin (vitamin B3) they contain alleviates redness, while zinc has a positive effect on blemishes, ensures a clear complexion, and strengthens hair and nails. Antioxidants protect our (skin) cells. Chia seeds also have a positive effect on digestion, regulate blood sugar levels, and can therefore support weight loss. A maximum intake of 15g per day is recommended.
Apples: They are true vitamin bombs. While they do not have a particularly high concentration of any one specific vitamin, they are characterized by their balanced content of all necessary vitamins. They are known for a strong antioxidant effect that promotes skin firmness and elasticity. The phenols they contain protect against cardiovascular diseases and inhibit viruses and bacteria. Carotenoids boost the immune system and protect tissues (including from UV radiation). Furthermore, apples have a regulating effect on digestion and stabilize the gut flora. A healthy gut and intact gut flora are essential for a robust immune system, our well-being, and a healthy, radiant complexion.
Coconut: The coconut is packed with minerals, good nutrients, and vitamins. It has antibacterial properties and is rich in fiber, B vitamins, vitamin C, calcium, amino acids, and antioxidants. Coconut water, in particular, is suitable as an isotonic drink after exercise due to its high amino acid content. Because it is very low in sugar and carbohydrates and free of trans fats, coconut also supports weight loss. Furthermore, it improves the absorption of nutrients.
