Hafer - Superfood für die Haut

Oats are not only a true superfood, but are also distinguished by a wide spectrum of effects in skincare.

The healing effect of the oat plant has been known for thousands of years and is even officially recognized as a dermatological therapeutic agent. In 2017, oats were named Medicinal Plant of the Year.

Oats have a soothing and balancing effect on the skin. They are anti-irritant, reduce skin redness, and leave the skin with a balanced appearance.

The polysaccharides contained in oats form a protective film over the skin, and the high zinc content, along with its anti-inflammatory properties, helps blemishes to subside. Oily, sensitive, and blemish-prone skin conditions in particular benefit from this balancing and soothing effect.

The fats contained in oats strengthen the skin and help curb transepidermal water loss.

The contained beta-glucan stimulates Langerhans cells, which play a central role in the skin's own immune system, activates the formation of new collagen, and thus stimulates skin regeneration. It also helps the skin retain moisture.

For neurodermatitis, oats can not only provide relief through their strongly soothing effect, but also alleviate itching with the help of the contained avenanthramide (a powerful antioxidant).

Skin irritation is alleviated, the skin's defensive function is strengthened, and healing processes are promoted. Furthermore, colloidal oatmeal is excellent for the care of allergy-prone skin and can also have a positive effect on rosacea and psoriasis.

The oats we use are 100% from certified organic cultivation and are certified according to the Ecocert standard for natural and organic cosmetics. In our Refreshing Face Fluid, oat flour also provides a matte finish and a balanced, even complexion.
