Der Zellzyklus der Haut

If you wish to apply a facial treatment in the evening and wake up the next morning with a completely transformed and flawless complexion, we unfortunately have to bring you down to earth a little with this article.

The skin's cell cycle takes about 30 days (from the new cell to the corneocyte), but steadily slows down with increasing age and should therefore always be taken into account in skincare.

On the one hand, the cell cycle can be stimulated by certain active ingredients and cosmetic applications, and on the other hand, it is one of the main reasons why patience is required in skincare. There is no immediate and deeply effective change in the complexion through skincare products. Products that promise or produce an immediate effect usually only work in the stratum corneum and, for example, provide an immediate, plump appearance of the skin by intensively moisturizing and swelling the stratum corneum, which does not represent a sustainable skincare effect in deeper skin regions. The same applies to products that merely lie on the skin and thus provide an immediately smooth and even complexion. This effect is usually created by the use of silicones and mineral oils.

For a long-term improvement of the complexion and to actively counteract skin aging, a treatment should always be chosen that has a supportive effect on the natural functions of the skin through active ingredients that can work deeply and thus deliver long-term results.

Everything that works deeply requires, on the one hand, patience and, on the other hand, consistency.

In order to achieve deeply effective skincare results, it is always necessary to wait at least one regeneration cycle (4 to 6 weeks) and establish a regular skincare routine. In doing so, initial worsening can certainly occur, which does not mean that the treatment does not "work", is not tolerated, or is unsuitable. There can be a variety of reasons for this, which we would like to go into more intensively.

One thing is said: Persevere! And definitely refrain from changing cosmetics too frequently.
