Dolphin Skin – der dewy Look für echte Summer Vibes

Beauty Trend Dolphin Skin – the dewy look for real summer vibes

Today we will tell you how to apply makeup for the popular summer trend and what to keep in mind.

Beautiful and healthy skin needs no makeup, but flawless makeup always requires well-cared-for skin suited to your skin type. So, if you do want to wear some makeup, remember: the crucial foundation for perfect makeup is always well-cared-for skin and high-quality skincare products - especially with the dewy look, well-saturated skin is essential.

The Dolphin Skin trend undeniably takes the definition of the perfect glow to a new dimension. Silky, perfectly radiant skin takes center stage, and the shimmering, sun-kissed complexion we have previously created using mostly powder-based bronzer and highlighter is now enhanced by layering liquid and creamy high-shine products.

The foundation for this look is well-hydrated, even skin that, with the help of selected decorative cosmetics, appears poreless, shimmering, and thus like the mirror-smooth skin of a dolphin. It is no wonder this trend is called "Dolphin Skin". Optimally prepared and well-cared-for skin suited to your skin type is the basis for optimal makeup results.

Especially for this look, the skin should be well-hydrated. Ideally, you should use an intensively moisturizing and hyaluronic acid-containing skincare product in the first step, such as the Refreshing Face Fluid. On top of that, layer a lipid-rich product that does not absorb into the skin quite as quickly, thus giving your face a glow already. The Day & Night Face Oil is suitable for all skin types. Feel free to be generous when applying the products, so that your skin is well-saturated and nourished and does not "absorb" the subsequent makeup products. If the skin is not sufficiently and properly cared for before applying makeup, unsightly edges and flakes quickly appear, or the makeup settles in places.

The light film left by the skincare products is in this case the ideal foundation for all liquid glow products. The dewy (i.e., moist) look should shimmer elegantly and give the impression that you have just come from the pool or have dampened your face with the fine mist of a face mist. Illuminating products with very fine shimmer particles that scatter light without becoming visible as particles are best suited for this. Freely following the motto "more is more", the various illuminating products are layered one on top of the other. For this look, use exclusively liquid or creamy products, but no powder-based highlighters or bronzers, as these mattify the skin despite the shimmer particles. This would take the radiance out of the look.

In the first step you can apply an illuminating primer to your intensively cared-for skin, but this is not a must, as the Love it Pure products already form the perfect makeup foundation.

In the second step follows a liquid foundation that should not only be hydrating but also contain fine shimmer particles. This gives you the desired all-over glow. Because, unlike contouring, we do not just want to highlight the "high" points of the face, such as the cheekbones, but give the entire face a radiant, shimmering glow.

Important: always use a foundation that matches your skin tone and do not try to make yourself look tanner using foundation. This not only creates unsightly edges but also makes you look older.

In step 3 follow bronzer and blush. You can choose these in liquid form or as a cream or stick. Bronzer and blush should also match your skin and skin undertone. The creamy bronzer gives you a sun-kissed summer complexion and the blush the necessary freshness kick for real summer vibes. In addition, you can create light contouring with the bronzer.Dab the blush lightly on the cheeks, temples, and eyelids.

Step number 4: The highlighter – the main element of the dewy look. Here too, you should choose a liquid texture (drops), a stick, or a spray with very fine illuminating particles. The finer the texture, the more velvety and elegant your complexion. To perfectly highlight the proportions of your face, apply the highlighter to the areas where light typically hits your face. This makes you glow and ensures a firm and smooth appearance of your skin. Primarily, you should apply the highlighter to the bridge of the nose, above the cupid's bow, between the eyebrows, on the forehead, at the hairline, on the cheekbones, under the eyebrows, in the inner corners of the eyes, and on the chin. At the same time, you can decide which areas you want to highlight in particular and also optimize your contours. If you place the highlighter, for example, slightly above the tip of the nose and very narrowly along the bridge of the nose, you can make your nose appear more delicate. The highlighter above the cupid's bow makes your lips appear fuller, and lightly dabbed in the inner corners of the eyes and under the highest point of the eyebrow, it gives you a more awake and open look.

Our tip: Apply the products very lightly and in small amounts at first, and build up the intensity gradually until you are happy with the result. The bronzer is used exactly the opposite way, namely on the facial areas that are recessed, to model the face slightly. On the other hand, you can apply the bronzer very subtly on the "sun terraces", such as the forehead, above the tip of the nose, and on the décolletage, to give yourself a sun-kissed complexion. Make sure to blend the products well together and soften them gently, to make the transitions smooth and the look appear as natural as possible.

However, there are no limits to your creativity, and you can decide how intense or subtle your Dolphin Skin should look.

In the final step you can set your finished makeup with a tonic or floral water. Spray the fine mist evenly over the entire face and then wait briefly until the spray has dried. Alternatively, you can also use an illuminating setting spray to further intensify the look.

Now you are ready for the day or the party night. Lips and eyes can happily remain natural and unmade up with the Dolphin Skin. Here, the complexion is clearly the main focus.

If you want something a bit more in the evening, you are ready for any red carpet with the combination of a dewy look and smokey eyes.

Have fun and keep shining! It's all about glowy Skin.
