10 Tipps für schöne Haut

"Beauty comes from within", is not just a saying, but a fact.

In addition to high-quality, skin-type-specific skincare, internal factors also play a major role in our skin health, can prevent skin aging and help us achieve radiant, beautiful skin.

Our 10 tips on how you can actively support your skin from within and without:

1. A healthy and balanced diet.

A healthy and active lifestyle has a positive effect on the body, mood, and complexion. Fruit and (green) vegetables are particularly rich in minerals, trace elements, vitamins, and antioxidants that counteract skin aging and can give the skin a fine appearance. Vitamin C firms the connective tissue, vitamin E delays skin aging, and vitamin A helps prevent dry and scaly skin.

2. Drink plenty of water.

An adult should drink at least 1.5 to 2.5 liters of water daily. Adequate water intake is important for our circulation and boosts metabolism. By consuming water, we promote the resilience of the skin (which consists of 80% water) and support it in eliminating toxins. The skin appears plump and fresh.

3. Sufficient sleep.

Sleeping for 7 to 8 hours a night makes tired and pale skin look more lively and radiant, promotes skin regeneration, and works true anti-aging wonders.

4. Cleansing.

A thorough and skin-type-specific facial cleansing should always be the first step in a skincare routine. Even the most effective facial care can only reach its full potential on well-cleansed skin. Every day, morning and evening.

5. Facial massage.

Regular facial massages have a soothing effect and counteract stress. In addition, they improve blood circulation and revitalize the skin. This gives a rosy complexion and helps counteract signs of fatigue. When performed correctly, facial massages reduce swelling, stimulate lymphatic flow, and support detoxification processes. They also relax the muscles, which has the pleasant side effect of helping to prevent the formation of fine wrinkles and lines.

6. Less is more. Avoid over-treating.

Excessive cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing, too frequent changes in cosmetics, and too many active ingredients and components that are not coordinated can overstimulate the skin. The skin reacts with blemishes, pimples, redness, burning, itching, or dry patches. To avoid over-treating the skin, the right dosage, frequency of application, and the right combination of active ingredients are required.

7. Skin-type-specific care.

Whether it is the cleansing product, face mask, serum, or moisturizing cream – if the action of a product does not meet your skin's needs, it can have exactly the opposite effect on your skin. The best example is the use of overly aggressive and harsh products to combat blackheads. They dry out the skin, damage the skin barrier, and consequently cause even more inflammation and stimulate sebum production.

8. Oxygen & fresh air.

A walk in the fresh air not only does your soul good and increases our well-being, but also gives us a fresh complexion. Our cells need oxygen to constantly renew themselves.

9. Exfoliation.

Regular exfoliation frees the skin from dead skin cells, opens the pores, and has a positive effect on cell renewal. But here too, the right product and the right dosage are required. We distinguish between mechanical, chemical, and enzyme exfoliants, with enzyme exfoliation being the gentlest method. It is therefore perfect for home use and suitable for sensitive skin conditions. Weekly exfoliation is completely sufficient. However, every skin is different, and here too you must observe your own skin and decide individually what is good for it.

10. Be happy!

And here we are back at "true beauty comes from within". A positive state of mind not only affects our radiance and makes us appear more attractive to our fellow human beings, but also has an effect on our skin. A positive attitude reduces stress and thus also stress hormones that throw our skin out of balance.
